The storyline is based on humans and vampires co-existing in society all since the advent of a synthetic blood substitute. We'll the creators got creative and launched a product called Tru-Blood to take advantage of the hype, the base of the product is a carbonated blood orange soft drink which is apparently very tasty. Here's a mixer based on the Tru-Blood or if you're really inspired, you can squeeze two Redbelly™ blood oranges into 500ml's of mineral water and follow any recipe you find.
