We have had a new burst of excitement here at Redbelly Citrus.  Not only are we in the midst of starting the season off with some of the best quality and size we have produced to date, but we also received news that our coveted RedOrange Blood Orange Marmalade, made with our very own Redbelly blood oranges, has become a Silver medalists at the Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards 2012.

The product has been two years of concept design and development to get to this point and the team isn't finished yet.  2012 will be the year of the blood orange and blood orange marmalade is the best way to remember this.  With the current level of colour and flavour development in the fruit, we can see this years batch of hand picked marmalade will be the best yet!

What We Do
Redbelly Citrus is Australia's largest and only dedicated grower of premium blood oranges for Australian and international markets. We are delighted to announce that the 2012 blood orange season is just around the corner, with picking expected to commence mid-late July. The weather in the Riverina of late has been perfect for growing blood oranges. The cold nights & the warm sunny afternoons guarantee that this years fruit should be fabulously red & tasty.

Where We Come From
Established by third generation citrus farmers in Griffith NSW, Redbelly Citrus burst onto the fresh produce and gourmet foods markets in 2010 and has since grown its product offerings. Whether you are interested in the freshest blood oranges, or the tastiest condiments and beverages made from our renouned Redbelly blood oranges, Redbelly Citrus is ready to support your blood orange needs.

2012 Blood Orange Season
The 2012 season has been very interesting for us thus far. After finishing last season on a record high, beautiful mother nature thought it was time to throw in a few roadblocks! Late last year while some tees were flowering, we had an unseasonably late frost that affected those trees, causing them to not bare fruit. Then in March this year we had the floods come through our property, affecting up to 20% of our production. The good news is that due to the lighter than expected crop, fruit size is up & it is showing to be a wonderful year for fruit quality!
